Speaking after the meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Russia, Ukraine and France, where for five hours were discussed ways out of the protracted Ukrainian crisis, Foreign Minister of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier said that there has been achieved little convergence between the parties.

“I think and hope that we have made progress in some points”, said the German Minister in the night of Monday, August 18, noting that the conversation was difficult. The results of the meeting will be reported to the leaders of states. The format of further negotiations, according to Steinmeier, will be determined in the coming days.

As reported “Reuters”, the Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov left the venue of the talks in Berlin’s Tegel, without talking to the press.
