In the capital of Lithuanian was held the meeting with the head of the interior Ministry of this country Dailusa Baracauskasa and Ambassador of Ukraine Valery Jovtenko.

The parties agreed that Lithuania will support the ATO in the East of Ukraine.
Particularly, they discussed about transfer to Ukrainian soldiers helmets, bulletproof vests and bulletproof shields.

The size of this support is not specified. We only know that help will come from the police Department of the Lithuanian interior Ministry soldiers to the armed forces of Ukraine and soldiers of the National Guard.

As the press service of the Lithuanian interior Ministry says, the parties also discussed the question on excitation of criminal cases in Russian Federation concerning a number of Ukrainian politicians.

Ambassador Zhovtenko gave Barakauskas a letter from the Ukrainian Minister of internal Affairs Arsen Avacov. The Ukrainian side asks Lithuanians adequately assess such initiatives of Russia and don’t hurry to fulfill the request of the Russians in the framework of bilateral cooperation.

Earlier was reported that Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania want to form a joint peacekeeping military brigade.
