The first Russian convoy with so-called “humanitarian assistance” went to Ukraine on August 12. The Ukrainian side put forward a condition, on the neutral zone “humanitarian assistance” need to shift at the warehouse and on the trucks of the Red Cross send to a combat area. On 13 August in Kharkov region had prepared to take trucks of “escort”, but the convoy changed its course and headed to Rostov region on the border with Lugansk region, where were some checkpoints, not controlled by the state border service of Ukraine.
August 22 trucks with humanitarian assistance began to erupt in Ukraine, at that time as the Ukrainian border guards and custom officials, who were supposed to test the vehicles, were locked. The fact of the passage without checking cargo by Ukrainian side, the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Valentin Nalivaychenko called “direct invasion of Ukraine”. According to the statement of the Council of National Security and Defense of Ukraine, moving out to the Russian Federation the trucks took out the equipment from Ukrainian defense factories.
